“O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee”
Today is a very special day,
we celebrate the Immaculate Conception of Mary. At the end of this text, I have
added useful links if someone wants to know more about the subject and how the
Catholic Church has established this dogma.
The prayer in the epigraph
was recommended by the Virgin Mary herself to St. Catherine Labouré.
The image that illustrates
this page comes from the Grotto of Massabielle, where the apparitions to Santa
Bernadette in Lourdes occurred, during which Our Lady confirmed to be the Immaculate
Conception.
Our disbelief is amazing! In
reviewing all the signs and prophecies that have been accomplished and are on
course, we can’t deny everything... and we still doubt! The predictions made by
the Virgin Mary in the episode of La Salette are impressive!
Let us try to pray more and
make sacrifices for sinners – including ourselves, of course – as She insisted
again, during the apparitions of Fatima, asking our prayers and penances for
the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for sins committed against her
Immaculate Heart.
