Luke 1, 46-55:
My soul
proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit
rejoices in God my Savior,
for he
has looked with favor on his humble servant.
From this
day all generations will call me blessed,
the
Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy
is his Name.
He has
mercy on those who fear Him
in every
generation.
He has
shown the strength of his arm,
he has
scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.
He has
cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has
lifted up the humble.
He has filled the hungry
with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has
come to the help of his servant Israel
for he
has remembered his promise of mercy,
the
promise he made to our fathers,
to
Abraham and his children for ever.
The Magnificat is the first
word in the Latin translation of the Song of Mary, recited or sung by the
Virgin in response to the greetings of her cousin Elizabeth, when Mary went to
visit her. The song includes passages from the Old Testament, especially
Hannah's song (1 Samuel 2: 1-10); The Virgin Mary sees the action of the
wonders of God in herself, in her humility, in order to extend the merciful
love of God to all those who fear Him.
Through Mary, God welcomes Israel, faithful to their love, as He had
promised the Hebrew people, bringing the Messiah. For Abraham and his children
forever, that is, all humans who believe, because Abraham is the father of
faith (Romans 4: 9-16).
The Magnificat is a true "summa Theologica".
In addition, the Virgin Mary made a prophecy that continues to be
fulfilled:
“From this day all generations
will call me blessed”
It is not surprising the Virgin Mary is often manifesting Herself to
humanity so that we all have faith and fear of God, because we are more and
more isolated in ourselves, denying or ignoring the possibility of Divine Love
in our hearts.
I think this incredulity that assails us is associated with a lack of
fear of God – which differs from being afraid – it is an effective
understanding (that generates effect, like a feeling of awe and reverence), the
consequence of the colossal magnitude that places us in our admirable extremely
small condition.
The way of spiritual access through the Immaculate Heart of Mary seems
to be sweeter while closer to our humanity. Therefore, I have the impression
that Our Lady's Mother Heart is also in charge of communicating with us in the
name of Jesus at post-Resurrection age. Like us, who are called to help our
fellow human beings to be converted, so is She much more precisely because it
was through Her that the saving action of our Redeemer, our Lord Jesus Christ,
came to us.
Let's meditate on this...
