I have read and heard about many cases of conversion from Protestants to Catholicism. The one that impressed me most was that of the American theologian Scott Hahn. He has a deep knowledge of Theology, has published many books, gives many lectures at universities and seminars; he is carrying out an enormous work of evangelization in the Catholic Church. I also present here two cases of doctors who were born into Catholic families, but moved away from the religion, and later converted.
It's difficult to choose one of Dr Scott Hahn's lectures, they are all fantastic. At the end of the text, I listed three links about the theologian (all in English): [1] To his personal page, [2] to the St. Paul Center, a nonprofit research and educational institute created by him and [3] to his first lecture that I attended (by Internet) and which I admired a lot, about the Paschal Mystery and his conversion process.
Let's go to the doctors... One of them is Brazilian. This is not the first time I have seen a testimony of a conversion that occurred as a result of the evangelization work of Father Paulo Ricardo. In link [4], the priest's team shows the testimony of a doctor who received special graces, in my opinion, that led him to conversion (text in Portuguese).
The other doctor is an American. I heard an interview he gave, in which he said that his heart was harder than a stone. You can understand why by watching the video - in English [5]. Our science, so weak, was his "god". He attributes his conversion to his mother's prayers. He also received very special graces during his conversion process.
For God nothing is impossible, but I believe that, for those who do not soften their hearts nor open their minds, this phenomenon of conversion is very difficult. Therefore, I think we must persevere in prayers for the conversion of sinners (which are all of us, by the way). In Our Lady's apparitions, she always emphasizes the idea of praying for this objective, among other themes.
And let us not mislead ourselves, thinking that we are already converted, that we have already reached the "goal". If we think like this, it's because our hearts are still very hard. Conversion is a process that only ends when we die. The further we can advance on this path, before we die, the better.
